We don’t want to be just another business coach / marketing agency / consultant.
We don’t have shareholders to placate so we have more freedom than larger organisations.
We are human. We work with humans. We use systems and processes that let humans be human the way they want to human.
And we want to use our resources, skills and experience for good and not evil! And no, we’re not being sanctimonious – it simply makes us feel better about going to work every day!
But yes, we do believe that if everyone does their little bit, the world can be better place.
And yes, it's more than just corporate box ticking!

To empower women to achieve their goals through successful business ownership.
We believe that empowered women and girls will drive the change we need in the world.

We want to use our resources to make the world become a better place, so we are actively working to make this a reality by focussing on one key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The focus of our particular efforts, expertise and experience is on Goal #5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
To that end we educate women and girls about entrepreneurship and help women structure and build businesses that support them and their families - in all ways.

We donate a portion of each sale to fund micro loans to female-led projects on Kiva.org.
On a recent trip to Tanzania, it was brought home to me how much women are the centre of their villages, and villages that had entrepreneurial female leaders did so much better than the villages that didn’t.
As a result, our current Kiva micro loans are focussed on funding projects in African nations, where I have seen how great the need is, and how big an effect such loans can have.
Btw, that doesn’t exclude us funding other regions on Funding Fridays (the day I choose projects and allocate funds in Kiva each week) in the future, but that is where are focussing for the moment.
We don't just say them, we mean them!
Have a positive impact
We want to not only achieve our mission, we want to help others achieve theirs - all without doing further damage to the world.
This affects everything from where we buy our stationery, to how we hire, who we prioritise working with and how we show up in the world.
Curious diversity
The beauty of humanity is in its diversity. We know that every individual has different needs, wants, dreams, hopes, strengths and ways of working, and we want to find out what makes you tick as a human being.
We work with individuals to provide solutions that will empower them to achieve their goals - in their unique way. So get ready for lots of questions, because they help us get to know you and help us work out what could work best for you.
Community is key
We support those in our community (and beyond where possible) who are also working hard to have a positive impact in the world.
As one business in the world, we know that we can’t achieve meaningful change alone, so we provide discounts for impact and purpose-led organisations who are working on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals too. If that’s you, please get in touch to apply for your discount.
Transparency & honesty
If you have a question about how or why we do something a particular way, please ask. We believe in being open, honest and as transparent as possible within our organisation, and with our clients and partners.
Sometimes that will mean having a “difficult” conversation, but we’d rather tell you the truth than set you up to fail.

And last, but certainly not least!
No asshats
As clients. As team members. As partners. Life is way too short to have to deal with jerks, so no asshats need apply. Ever.
Oh, and if you think we’re being one, please call us out on it. Politely! We don’t want to be one, but we’re “only human”, and we’re willing learn from our mistakes.

Founder, entrepreneur, marketer and corporate escapee trying to use her skills and experience for good – and not evil! Now where have I heard that before?! ;-)
After decades working in corporate, running marketing divisions for businesses of all shapes and sizes and in a multitude of sectors, I took the leap into fulltime business ownership.
I usually had a consultancy business as a side-hustle when I was in corporate (I need the variety and challenge that it provided alongside my day jobs), but going all-in on my own business required a huge shift in my mindset.
No more salary safety net. Just me, my skills, my experience and… I guess… my
moxie.
I have had various business iterations. I’ve started, I’ve pivoted, I’ve burned out and reset, I’ve left it hanging for two years for family and health reasons and had to start all over again. I really should have “Been there, done that, rebuilt my business” on a t-shirt. I do have “Nevertheless she persisted” on my notebooks!
But that journey has taught me a lot. About all stages of business and how to focus on what’s really important, not on what someone tells you you need to have or do. For the record, as someone who is a huge marketing nerd, and loves playing with shiny new toys (like new marketing software) at everyone opportunity, this was a HUGE lesson to learn. And it paid off. In spades. And I’ll probably write a book about it one day!
My own business is now structured in a way that allows me to work with people who inspire me, allows me to support projects that I want to support, allows me to travel regularly to experience new places and cultures and people, and allows me to pursue creative hobbies - during the working week.
My latest hobby / obsession is woodworking, so I now have Woodworking Wednesdays (which follows Marketing Mondays and Tech Tuesdays). And they’re sacred to me, so if you reach out to me on a Wednesday, and it’s not urgent, I’ll get back to you on Thursday! Btw, if you do see me on Wednesday, I’ll likely be covered in sawdust and have a huge grin! ;-D
The COVID lockdowns in Sydney freed up time for me to write the book I’d always wanted to write.
Of course, being me, it wasn’t that straightforward! I started one marketing book to contain all of the marketing wisdom I’d gathered over the years. Then I realised that when I was working with clients, most were missing a solid strategic foundation for their business and we ended up working on that before we looked at optimising their marketing activity, so I wrote another book based on the framework I developed for working with my clients.
That book, Marketing Launchpad, was released in March 2023, and went on to win awards and become a best-selling eBook on Amazon. But most importantly, it allowed me to provide a useful and usable framework to people around the world that I had no way of working with individually.
If you’d like to see what it’s about, you can find out more and buy the book (paperback, eBook or audiobook) here.
I chose to self-publish as the publishing landscape made that a very viable option for a control-freak marketer who wanted to choose her own cover, her own editor, etc, etc. and I got to add “how to successfully self-publish a business book” to my skillset and I use those new skills to teach clients who want to write a book how to do it too.
The second and third books are currently in the works as I write this in mid-2026, so stay tuned!
My own business journey has taught me the value of a business support structure for all stages of business life. This is often different from your personal support structure as many of your family and friends may find your leap into entrepreneurship challenging to support. Even when they encourage you it can feel like they don’t really mean it. Not always! But sometimes… shrug So I always recommend finding some business buddies for any business owner.
At this point I think I’ve joined most business groups for women in Australia at one time or another! Some I stuck with, some I needed for just that moment in time, and some I didn’t gel with so didn’t stick around for long. It’s no ones’ fault; that’s just the way it goes. Sometimes the chemistry isn’t there and the goals don’t align.
Anyway! That was the long way of saying that I try to find ways of lending my skills and expertise as a mentor as part of my ‘giving back’ strategy, and I actively work in the organisations I’m a member of whenever I can.
Currently I’m:
• Head of Systems with the Impact Collab.
• Member of SheMentors
• Member (and former Ambassador) of OneRoof
Previously I’ve been:
• Mentor and member of the State Organising Committee with the Australian Marketing Institute
• Mentor with the Sister2sister program
I regularly run educational webinars and workshops to upskill women looking to grow their businesses or create new ones from scratch.
I also speak at a variety of events about the benefits of structuring your business to serve your needs and achieve your goals (rather than you being a slave to it) as well as running workshops on a range of marketing topics for different organisations.
